Fair questions

What happens when the internet goes down?

Nothing you would notice on a Friday night. The till keeps ringing from its local copy of the menu, the card machine authorises offline up to a floor limit, and the kitchen screen keeps its queue. When the line returns, everything syncs. Offline came first in the architecture, not as a patch.

Do I need to buy special hardware?

No. Docketry runs on ordinary Android tablets, the kind that cost about 150 pounds. Tested bundles with a printer and cash drawer are available if you want one box that works, but nothing is locked to Docketry.

Do the Deliveroo, Uber Eats and Just Eat orders really come into the till?

Yes. Orders inject straight into the kitchen queue, the menu publishes to all three from one place, and sold-out items disappear everywhere within seconds.

Can different sites charge different prices?

Yes. Price bands hold per-site prices for any item; a site without an override uses the default. One menu, one place to change things, and the city centre shop can still charge city centre prices.

What does switching from my current till look like?

The menu is imported before day one, you trade on Docketry in the morning, and the old till stays plugged in for a week as a comfort blanket. Most shops never touch it again after the first lunch.

Is there a contract?

Pilot shops are on 30-day rolling terms with founder pricing held for two years. If Docketry does not earn its keep, you leave with your data.
